This tool puts all others to shame for cat grooming. It almost seems like it's razoring the hair right off. To prove it wasn't, I tried it on my non-shedding dog - and little to no hair came out. My cat was pretty good letting me comb him, but it becomes a little addictive, so after about 10min he wanted a break from me! Can't say enough about it...should be on Oprah's Favorite Things list...some body send her one!!

The first time we used the furminator, we were hooked. Even our short haired dog had a plastic bag full of hair removed. It is the best way to remove unwanted hair from dogs and cats. I would recommend this for any cat or dog owner. Our neighbors borrow it ALL the time. For Christmas they are all getting a furminator!

This was recommended to me at a dog park. Just in time. My German Shepherd shed plentifully in the hot weather. Didn't like me combing out the undercoat. The Ferminator goes through gently and smoothly and my dog was compliant. Massive amounts of hair came out, leaving him looking sleek and shiny. Great buy.

This comb works amazingly well on my Sheltie (Shetland sheep dog).
Within about 10 minutes I had a paper grocery bag filled with fur and my dog's coat looks very clean. Note. If you dog's hair is tangled or matted, you will need to comb it first before using the deShedding comb
