I've tried a lot of different combs and brushes on my various dogs over the years, so I was skeptical that all the hype could be true. But I first used the Furminator on my double coated Akita mix and removed half a dog! She loved it as well, and afterwards I think she felt more comfortable as she kept coming back to get Furminated again when I was trying to use it on my other dogs. I found it worked best on the dogs that have a downy undercoat, like my Akita mix and my Pug Chihuahua mix. It worked well on my Lab mix too, but the difference was less significant. There is SO much less hair around the house now, and the dogs look better without the tufts of hair hanging off their hindquarters. I have a drawer full of dog brushes and combs that I can now donate to the Humane Society thrift store as I won't need them anymore.

Our yellow lab is 6 months old and is a regular shedder. Before we got the FURminator his fur was everywhere even after daily brushing. Now we groom him every other day and what a difference. The FURminator shows a picture of how much fur this tool can remove off your dog and it is easy to use. It's pricey, but Highly recommend this grooming tool as it does a terrific job of deshedding.

This is the easiest dog hair remover I have used to date. A few stokes through the coat, and it comes out full of hair, and my dog actually likes the way it feels on the coat, she doesn't try to run away.

This product absolutely works. I have two full sized GSD's and it has done everything it has claimed it does. The only problem is you should use this outside, or on a plastic mat for easy pickup. While it does remove a TON of hair, it doesnt hold onto it like other brushes do. It instead moves all loose fur to the tail end of your dog. Make sure you use this product in an easy place to dispose of the hair simply because it removes so much.
